- Treat other runners, walkers, hikers, hosts, and participants with respect.
- Do not harass, threaten, shame, stalk, intimidate, or bully anyone.
- Do not use hateful language or target people based on identity, background, ability, or beliefs.
Be Honest
- Use accurate profile information and do not impersonate another person.
- Create activity listings with accurate location, time, pace, distance, and route details when possible.
- Do not mislead users about your identity, intentions, or activity plans.
Keep Meetups Safe
- Use public, appropriate meeting locations when possible.
- Communicate clearly if you are late, lost, canceling, or changing plans.
- Follow traffic laws, trail rules, weather guidance, and local restrictions.
- Choose activities that match your ability and comfort level.
- If something feels unsafe, leave and contact local emergency services if needed.
Use Chat Responsibly
- Use chat to coordinate activities, clarify meeting details, and communicate respectfully.
- Do not spam, solicit, pressure, threaten, or send abusive messages.
- Do not share another person's private information without permission.
- Current-location sharing, when available, must be intentional and one-time only. Users under 18 may not share current location in chat.
Content That Is Not Allowed
- Harassment, threats, hate, exploitation, or targeted abuse.
- Sexual content, especially content involving minors.
- Violence, self-harm encouragement, or dangerous instructions.
- Illegal activity, fraud, scams, spam, or attempts to evade moderation.
- Content that creates unsafe meetups or intentionally misleads participants.
Reports and Blocks
Use Gulo's report and block tools if something feels wrong. Reports help us review harmful behavior and improve safety. Blocking limits interaction and visibility between users.
Hosts and Participants
- Hosts should keep activity details accurate and cancel activities they cannot attend.
- Participants should join only activities they genuinely plan to attend.
- Everyone should communicate changes as early as possible.
Enforcement
Gulo may remove content, limit features, suspend accounts, or terminate accounts when users violate these guidelines, the Terms of Service, or the safety of the community.
